World Week for the Abolition of Meat
participate in the next week of action for the abolition of meat, 20 to 26 September 2010!
After the success of the last day for the abolition of meat, we decided to organize a more regular basis, recognizing the importance of this claim. will now take place the weeks around the last Saturday of January, May and September, the next will be from 20 to 26 September 2010.
actions of various kinds were held in the latest editions in over 50 cities in the following countries: Belgium, Bolivia, Brazil, France, Germany, India, England, Ireland, Italy, Portugal, United States, South Africa, Switzerland!
Special thanks to all individuals and groups who have joined his voice to the oppressed and the animals that expressed the idea that our society should abolish the killing of animals for food! It 'was amazing to know that the same day people from all over the world have acted with the same political objective: stop the killing.
It 'now time to publicly express the need to abolish the meat, but not limited to an annual day, but by increasing the local, national and global scales. 's time to step up efforts to make visible the possible animal suffering and to introduce an objective which society must start to discuss it publicly, without any taboos: the abolition of livestock farming, hunting and fishing.
We therefore hope that it continues to grow both the number of cities that the actions, and our determination, imagination and vision.

How to organize an initiative in your area
E 'possible to organize a defense, a banquet or a simple flyer.

We ask all groups to distribute such material on the World Day for Abolition of Meat, which as you know is an initiative with particular content compared to the usual information activities veg: we will not, in fact, only to "persuade" individuals to change their consumption ( becoming vegetarian or vegan), but above all try to openly declare our opposition to the slaughter of animals, calling for the abolition of this practice. 'S why many groups will create principals with symbolic representations of animal suffering and daily carnage (eg. With candles and dressed in mourning, with video projection, forms, etc.)..
We have also produced a questionnaire on the holdings that can be distributed to passers-by and a survey of animal suffering, which we believe to be very useful to get people to reflect on their adherence to a system unacceptable.

What is the Day for the Abolition of Meat?
Day for the Abolition of Meat to the general public wants to promote the political demand for the abolition of the murder of animals for food. Six million sentient beings are killed worldwide every hour (!) To be turned into flesh, without even counting the massacre of fish and the suffering of cows and laying hens, recluses, exploited and finally killed at a young age.
